I would compare Jennifer Blanc Biehn to a hurricane. Not in the sense that she brings death and destruction, but that she’s an unstoppable force of nature. In the past three years Jen has produced three films. Michael Biehn’s The Victim and Among Friends wich written by Alyssa Lobit and directed by Danielle Harris, are both currently being distributed, and Treachery is in the final phases of the editing process. I’ve joked that Jen is the hardest working women in show biz because she never actually stops, so therefore no one can possibly work harder. Her mother , Jenise Blanc, once told me when Jen was a little girl in New York she would set up infront of the elevator and perform shows for the people inside when the doors opened. It seems that from the very beginning Jennifer knew she wanted to be an actress. She started acting professionally when she was only 10 years old. In 1990 she landed a role on one of the biggest shows ever, Beverly Hills 90210. She went on to be join the cast other popular shows like Party of Five and James Cameron’s Dark Angel. She has continually worked in both film and television – acting in and/or producing of fifty feature film or television series. Her upcoming projects includes The Farm, which is being directed by Xavier Gens and staring along side husband, Michael Biehn in Hidden in The Woods a film by Patricio Valladares. — by Travis Romero
As a frist time director I couldn’t ask for any more than being able to work with legend like Michael Biehn. I’ve known and worked with Michael since our days on the set of NBC’s show, ‘Hawaii’, so I known how talented of an actor I was working with, but I couldn’t fully appreciate how valuable it was to work with such a seasoned pro until I was behind the camera calling action. Any writer who’s ever worked with Michael knows he does his homework… and then some. Just ask Chuck Pfarrer and Gary Goldman, the guys who wrote Navy Seals. Whereas most actors might jot down a few notes in the margins of their script, Michael presented Chuck, Gary and the producers of the film with 13 pages of singles spaced, typed notes regarding their script. I know, I’ve seen them! When you’re a young writer on a the set of a TV show, it’s exciting to work with a big name like Biehn. When he’s hunting you down to point out logic flaws and plot holes in your script… eh, not so much. But when you’re a director trying to make his day, and when you’re ready to shoot, he so seamlessly falls into character, consistently hits his mark and does every take exactly the same without missing a beat, you are more than grateful. But when you watch the dallies – when you’re working on the edit – and you see the kind of performance he turned in [...]
The story of Treachery centers around the relationship between Nathan and his Father, played by Michael Biehn. The story is told from the point of view of Nathan as a middle aged man (Christian Meoli) retelling events to his girlfriend, Chloe (Tanya Newbould). The younger Nathan is played by up and coming actor, Matthew Ziff.
Treachery is in the final phases of the editing process. From there the film will be color-corrected, there will be music added, ADR and a sound mix. From there the producers will start to enter the movie into various film festivals. Treachery already got a bit attention in July when Dog and Pony won THE DESIGNFIRMS™ 2012 GRAPHIC DESIGN AWARD. Treachery Stars, Michael Biehn, Matthew Ziff, Catlin Keats, Jennifer Blanc, Richard Gunn, Christian Meoli, Tanya NewBould with Chris Meyer and Sarah Butler as Cecilia. It was written and directed by Travis Romero.
